After this course I think I have Photoshop down! Or at least 1/4th of it. There's too much to learn in just 18 weeks. I understand (almost completely) the sidebar of Photoshop and somewhat the top bar. I pretty much think I learned this quickly because I knew a little before I came into this class and because I had such a good teacher. The mini lessons were cute and short and the major lessons forced me to put as much effort into it as I could. I'm also a quick learner so that helped me too! I went home a once after this class and asked my dad to buy Photoshop for our laptop and that's how I found out that we can't afford something like that so I made him download Creative Cloud and get the 30 day free trial. Over one weekend, I made these two eyes:
Out of all the big and small projects I did, I think the Barbie Project was my favorite. The objective was to make a celebrity look out of whack and like a cartoon. I decided to make it something cute and awesome because the celeb I immediately thought of was Jennifer Lawrence and her beauty sort of scares me. I wanted to keep the beauty in the picture so I chose the princess that I thought fit her perfectly and just started editing. I think the thing that made it successful was the preciseness of the color changing and all the things that resembled cinderella. I made sure to make sure the dress didn't have any stray blue marks and I added a headband and a black velvet choker collar. Her jewelry was gold so I had to change that to silver and her eyes were a dark color so I just decided to make them blue to pop out more. Other than that, her own hair and nails fit in perfectly and I just thought the picture was perfect because of the way she's standing and the people behind her. It actually looks like she's at a ball! |
